Rabbit in Headlights

Rabbit in headlights,
Panic, anxiety, fear.
Are far too familiar,
Univited, into my sphere,
Dodging, hiding, reeling,
Wits stretched tight,
To survive another day.

Gentle, vunerable, kind, nature,
Confused by this world,
Predators lurking to pounce from behind,
Catching you unaware!
Trapping, emotionally, spiritually, physcially,
In time, inside.

Pills, counselling, can be offered as weapons of protection,
In these times of ours,
Refusual, compliance, left to one's own choices, devices.
Which path in the forest you take, you choose.
Dodging, hiding, reeling,
Survived another day.

Stars Ablaze

Night sky,
Stars ablaze,
So high, so bright, so amazing is this sight.

Huge expanse,
Comprehension enhanced,
Mystical, magical, wandering speckles of light.
How amazing, how exhilarating is this night!

Breath taken,
How my spirit soars,
Wondered gaze,
Stored forevermore in the consciousness of my heart.

Echoes of dreams, through eons of time,
Fragile, fleeting, wondorous moments collide,
Shooting stars connecting from afar.

Wishes made, hope ignited, thoughts created,
Passions aroused,
Translated, transmuted,
Blessed with the ability to comprehend and gaze,
Of what truly matters and surrounds,
There is more to one's existence than the simple mundane.

Diamonds of the Night

Oh diamonds of the night,
Shimmering, quivering, sparkling bright,
Distance and mystery,
Wonder and gaze,
Oh how amazing is thy space.

Wonders of wonders,
Magnificance grace,
Light from far of planets,
Travelling through time and space,
To reach my humble gaze.

Too feel connected in time,
With this wonderful place,
I'm here amazed,
I am amazing,
Life is amazing.
Pulsing, pumping, twinkling.

Time and space,
Grounding me here, on Earth,
As I gaze at the heavens above............

Lines

I thought we had an understanding you and I,
We spent time,
Boundaries set, adjusted - aligned.

Manoeuvers, movements,
Steps forward, to the side, behind.
What we wanted,
what we needed,
To continue, to survive.

Sometimes what we give,
Also needs consideration......
Needs time.

Boundaries - lines,

How so many talk protection,
What they mean is fenced inside,
No walls visible,
No lines,
Trapping, encasing never the less.

Locked down, out of bounds - shutting down.

Sign reads,
Not there,
Gone away,
Maybe,
Sometime,
Never meant to hurt you,
Never lied.............

Friends - Just Friends

Two steps forward,
Three behind,
No tune playing,
No choir singing,
Rhythm erratic,
Movement confused,
Some how I feel I am playing the fool.

Attraction, reaction,
Time to move,
Cha, cha, cha,
No dance shoes,


For their needs to be two,
Hand in hand.
Reflecting,
No reflection on you.....
My emotions are becoming attached.......

Friends - just friends,
time to depart,
Two steps forward,
Three behind.

Learnt through many lessons,
Over time,
That no good comes,
No real happiness to be found.

The song we sing,
The dance we do,
Just in'st in time.........

Wet Wednesday

A friend to all,
Mother to mine,
I've lost myself, somewhere along the line,
A suddern realisation,
An emptiness inside,
What's happened?
Where am I?

Russling leaves, rain - wind,
Tears, steps, slipping, sliding,
Flat on my bum,
Stuck in the mud,
Stuck inside.

Tears rolling down,
No one in sight,
How so alone I feel,
How empty inside.................

Two touch, too be touched,
Two souls meeting, dancing in time,
joys, smiles, laughter,
The sound of the drum, music, rhthym,
Moving in time,
Precious moments, shared exchanged,
Fleeting, fleeing,
Like grains of sand through your toes,
The hour glass of time.

How does one carry on?
Friends on the phone?
Smiling, saying the right words,
Comfort given,
Giving comfort,
Yet inside all is crumbling,
I just want to hide -
Need to gather my strength,
To face what lies ahead,
Reborn, rejuvenated, revitalised,
For no matter what comes my way,
I will face with God's good grace,
I will walk forward in faith and love,

How hard is it being on one's own!
Watching for the text, listening for the tone,
The emptiness of tears slightly rolling down your face,
He's not there to take away the pain,
Lost in thought,
Bereft-alone,
Overwhelming sadness,

who does not just say the words,
